We're Here to Inform, Not Endorse

9/9/2026

One of the most important parts of QSCC Votes 2026 is our commitment to being nonpartisan. The QSCC is not here to tell you who to vote for. We're here to help you understand your choices.

What Does Nonpartisan Mean?
For QSCC Votes, being nonpartisan means that we don't endorse or oppose candidates or political parties.
We also won't:
  • Rank candidates
  • Give candidates grades
  • Describe one candidate as better or worse than another
  • Tell community members who they should vote for
  • Use QSCC resources to support a candidate's campaign
Instead, we'll provide educational information.

What Will We Do?
We'll help our community understand:
  • Elections
  • Elected offices
  • Ballots
  • Voting options
  • Issues affecting queer and trans communities
  • Publicly available candidate information
  • Reliable election resources
When we share candidate information, we'll strive to treat candidates consistently and direct people toward publicly available sources. That can include official campaign websites, publicly available platforms, policy statements, and other relevant public information.

Why Does This Matter?
You deserve to have access to information without being told what conclusion to reach. Political participation doesn't require everyone to agree. It requires people to have the opportunity to learn, ask questions, research, and make their own decisions. That's the goal of QSCC Votes. We provide the information. You make the decision.
